Michele Underwood

Born and raised in a small town in Georgia in 1972, Michele's childhood was full of outdoor adventures. From riding her Honda Z50 through the woods to working as a lifeguard and teaching swimming lessons, she always embraced the simple joys of life. Sundays were spent with her family, either fishing by the river or riding bikes with neighborhood friends.

Today, Michele is a seasoned Creative Director with a passion for art and design. She’s had the privilege of working with top agencies and renowned brands, though the fast-paced, high-pressure nature of the industry has its challenges. Through it all, her creativity remains at the heart of everything she does.

At 40, Michele faced a life-altering moment when she was diagnosed with alopecia areata, which progressed to alopecia totalis. Rather than being defeated, she found a new sense of purpose as an endurance athlete, especially in cycling. Competing in events like Rebecca’s Private Idaho and the Belgium Wafer Ride, she discovered the strength in pushing her physical and mental boundaries. This shift not only helped her manage her condition but also deepened her love for the outdoors.

Michele’s resilience and passion for creativity and nature define her journey. Whether tackling new design projects, exploring gravel roads, or skiing in places like Park City and Breckenridge, she deeply appreciates life’s challenges and triumphs.
